WHAT We Do
Local Business Incubator:
Training and onboarding local entrepreneurs and new Canadians on achieving business success at the Farmers Market and beyond. Many vendors have successfully opened their own retail or restaurant locations.
Educational Programs:
Our hands-on programs are geared towards educating our community members of various ages and backgrounds about the benefits of living a sustainable lifestyle and the actionable steps through farming programs, cooking classes, and more.
Local Market & Experiential Tourism:
Our goal is to provide vendors and marketgoers with an unmatched experience they can’t find anywhere else, so they keep returning! That means investing in special events, activities, and entertainment that focus on providing actual value to our community. In 2023, we will be hosting 4 key events that focus on enhancing our guests' overall experience, like never before. We can’t wait!
Accessible Community Kitchen:
Onboarding new Canadians and food entrepreneurs through access to a community kitchen where we educate/demonstrate healthy eating and weekly events that promote healthy activities. Ex: Yoga, kid programs, and others.
OUR Mission
To develop a non-profit social enterprise in rural NL where crops are locally grown, harvested, and sold via a vibrant Farmers’ Market. We exist to create new jobs so that people and tourists from the greater Clarenville area can grow, harvest, and sell, local fruits, vegetables, crafts, and seafood. The Market also seeks to help new Canadians and clients from the Ability Corporation to find gainful employment and integrate into our local communities.
